Leakage Technician (Freelance) Water Sector Location: Sussex Rate: £400 £700 per day (DOE) Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Freelance (with potential for permanent role) A well-established contractor in the water sector is seeking experienced Leakage Technicians to join their growing team across the South of England. With a strong and sustained pipeline of work, this is an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals looking for immediate contract work with the potential to transition into a permanent position. Key Responsibilities: Carry out active leakage control activities on water networks Use acoustic and electronic leak detection equipment to identify leaks Perform step testing, noise logging, and pressure management Accurately record and report findings in line with client requirements Work independently or as part of a team across multiple sites Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with industry standards Requirements: Proven experience as a Leakage Technician within the water industry Strong knowledge of leak detection methods and equipment Full UK driving licence Good communication and reporting skills Required / Expected Tickets & Certifications: EUSR Water Hygiene (Blue Card) essential NRSWA / Street Works (Units 1 & 2 or equivalent) essential CSCS Card preferred Manual Handling preferred First Aid at Work / Emergency First Aid preferred Confined Space Training (Medium/High Risk) advantageous National Water Hygiene / SHEA Water advantageous What s on Offer: Immediate start with ongoing, long-term work Competitive day rates (£400 £700 depending on experience) Opportunity to secure a permanent position Supportive team environment with consistent workload If you re an experienced Leakage Technician ready to start immediately and interested in long-term opportunities, we d like to hear from you.
