Senior Quantity Surveyor (Plymouth) Fulltime An opportunity to work on our MOD project in Plymouth, delivering major redevelopment works over the coming years. PAYE basis Paid Holidays: 30 days per year (including bank holidays) Must Have : • Professionally qualified operator with at least 3 years post qualification experience or 5+ years relevant experience. • Academic Qualifications in Quantity Surveying (HNC, BSc, MSc or equivalent). • CSCS White PQP/AQP Card. • Bachelor s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field. • Extensive experience within construction or infrastructure projects. • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods and cost control techniques. • Experience preparing cost estimates, budgets and financial forecasts. • Experience reviewing and negotiating contracts, subcontracts and variations. • Experience managing procurement processes and subcontractor packages. • Strong commercial awareness and contractual knowledge. • Experience monitoring project progress and forecasting final costs. • Ability to identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks. • Experience preparing interim and final payment applications and valuations. • Excellent communication and client-facing skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Proficient in quantity surveying software such as CostX, QS Suite or PlanSwift. • Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams. • Professional accreditation such as RICS or CIOB preferred. • Experience within Nuclear and Defence sectors advantageous. • Must be eligible for BPSS Security Clearance. • Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.
