RG setsquare is actively hiring for below job: Skilled Labourer / Handyman - Temporary Works Start Date: ASAP Duration: 6 weeks Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Skilled Labourer / Handyman to support the Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) on a construction project involving the installation of temporary steel props to structural steelwork. The successful candidate will be responsible for the practical installation, positioning and adjustment of builders' props under the direction of the Temporary Works Coordinator. This is a hands-on role requiring good practical skills, attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and site procedures. The work covers three floors; however, the role does not involve working at height . Key Responsibilities Assist the Temporary Works Coordinator with the installation of temporary props. Move, position and install adjustable steel/builders' props as instructed. Position props against or beneath structural steelwork in accordance with instructions. Adjust and secure props correctly to provide temporary support. Use hand tools and power tools where required. Follow temporary works drawings, instructions and site procedures. Ensure props and associated materials are installed safely and correctly. Report any damaged equipment, incorrect positioning or safety concerns to the TWC/site supervisor. Maintain a clean and organised working area. Work safely around structural steelwork and other construction activities. Follow all site health & safety requirements and wear the required PPE. Cooperate with site management, supervisors and other trades. Carry out other reasonable skilled labouring/handyman duties as required. Candidate Requirements Previous experience as a Skilled Labourer, Handyman, Construction Operative or similar . Good practical/manual skills. Experience with hand tools and basic power tools.
