The role is site based but a flexible outlook is required to support a number of shifts throughout the week. Your team’s typical hours are 6am - 3PM. Manage cleaning materials, ensuring stock rotation and safety in storage
Conduct weekly cleaning audits to monitor performance and the Company and client standards and expectations are being met.
Liaise with Cleaning Operatives, Supervisors and Managers to deliver training needed to ensure that the standards are met and record are kept accordingly.
Comply with all Company & Client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH, you must demonstrate awareness of any site specific hazards and follow company procedures to manage.
To attend any meetings or training courses as required.
Liaison with all other service providers e.g. Security, Landscaping to promote the "One Team" ethos.
Reporting:
Collate information and assist in the production of monthly and quarterly reports.
Training:
Schedule and carry out fortnightly toolbox talks with all staff.
Carry out training needs analysis as required and create individual training programs for all operatives.

The site we are working with produces 100 million bricks a year and have a plan to increase that over the next few years… As a result of this increased demand they are looking to recruit two industrial cleaners to make sure the high standards of cleanliness in the plant are maintained.
What the Role will involve on a day to day basis:

80% of the role will be cleaning the factory. This will be done with industrial hoovers, floor cleaning machines, as well as shovels and skips!

The plant is very dusty – this is what you will be cleaning.
*
Making all parts of the plant are kept clean – from stairwells to machinery to control panels.

Helping the maintenance guys clear up after machinery breakdowns.
*
Using a counterbalance forklift truck to move skips and industrial hoovers around the plant.
*
Also helping the general operatives with other roles including visual inspection of bricks, loading pallets and other general tasks.
What the client is looking for in the contractor:

FLT counterbalance experience. Your licence doesn’t have to be valid or transferrable – as they are happy to put you on a one day refresher. They won’t, however pay to put you on a full course.
