Job Title Working Foreman Sector House Adaptation Salary - £250 Per Shift Location Tarporley Start Date August Duration 16-18 Weeks The Company My client is an established construction contractor who requires an experienced Working Site Manager to manage a small bespoke residential adaptation project. The project will run for a minimum of 16 weeks and will involve a full programme of refurbishment and adaptation works to an existing residential property. The Role Reporting directly to an off-site Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the project, coordinating trades and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required standard. This is a genuine Working Foreperson / Working Manager position and not purely a management role. In addition to running the site, you will be expected to carry out works yourself and work alongside the lads on site daily. We are therefore ideally looking for somebody from a strong trades background who is still happy and capable of working on the tools. The programme of works has already been produced, and you will be responsible for monitoring progress against the programme using project software on an iPad, which will be supplied. The project will include new internal partitions, floor screeding, new windows and doors, new heating systems, air conditioning units, groundworks including new patio area, and all associated adaptation work. You will be managing between 5 and 10 trades and subcontractors on site at any given time, ensuring everybody is working safely, efficiently and in accordance with the programme. Deliver the project safely from start through to completion Daily management of between 5 and 10 trades and subcontractors Organisation and coordination of subcontractors, materials and deliveries Monitor the construction programme using the supplied iPad and project software Ensure works remain on programme and to the required quality standards Ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety Management Plan Keeping a site diary including records of subcontractor attendance and progress Liaising with the off-site Project Manager regarding progress and any issues Carry out general hands-on works on site as and when required About You Ideally you will have a proven track record of managing small refurbishment, residential or adaptation projects and will come from a strong trades background. You must be confident and capable of taking responsibility for the project from start through to completion. You will need to safely and confidently manage all elements of the works outlined above while coordinating a workforce of between 5 and 10 people on site at any given time. We are looking for somebody who can take ownership of the site, understand the programme, coordinate the different trades and make sure the project continues to move forward safely and efficiently. You must also be comfortable working as a hands-on Site Manager and be prepared to assist on the tools when required rather than purely managing the project from the site office.
