With multiple infrastructure schemes mobilising across Essex from September onwards, this isn't just another short-term contract. You'll become part of a growing delivery team working across a pipeline of major AMP8 projects, offering continuity of work and the opportunity to move between schemes as the programme progresses. Working on complex water infrastructure projects, you'll play a key role in safely delivering challenging civils packages while leading site teams to achieve programme, quality and safety objectives. The Role As Site Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of heavy civils works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard. Your responsibilities will include: Leading site operations on major water infrastructure schemes. Managing subcontractors, direct labour and site teams. Delivering heavy civils packages including reinforced concrete, drainage, earthworks, underground services and structural works. Driving programme performance and coordinating daily site activities. Ensuring works are completed safely, on time and to specification. Managing permits, RAMS, quality documentation and site records. Building strong working relationships with project teams, engineers and client representatives. About You We're looking for someone who has: Proven experience managing heavy civils projects within the water or utilities sector. Previous Site Management experience on infrastructure projects. SMSTS. CSCS Black or Gold Card. Strong knowledge of health & safety, permits, RAMS and quality processes. Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple work fronts. Our client delivers civil engineering and utility infrastructure projects across the water, wastewater, highways, structures, energy and industrial sectors and continues to secure long-term framework work throughout the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong order book and a growing presence within the water sector. The Project Water mains renewal programme. Reading area. Thames Water client. Delivered as a subcontractor to M Group. Long-term programme running until approximately June 2027. Reporting into a visiting Project Manager. The Role This is a hands-on Site Agent position responsible for the day-to-day management of site activities and operational delivery across live water infrastructure works.
