Planner / Project Planner (MEP) Bristol (Aztec West) Up to 85,000 Basic + 5,780 Car Allowance + Healthcare + Pension Permanent Role Immediate Start: (Freelance OR Temp-to-Perm also considered) An experienced Planner is required to provide immediate support on a portfolio of major engineering and infrastructure projects. The ideal person will have an MEP background but this is not essential providing they have experience within the engineering / construction sectors. With an existing planner leaving the business shortly, we are looking for someone who can join quickly and take ownership of planning responsibilities across complex Mechanical and Electrical packages. Applications are welcomed from both permanent and freelance planners. Temp-to-perm arrangements can also be considered. This opportunity would suit someone from a Building Services, MEP, Nuclear, Pharmaceutical, Data Centre or Industrial Projects background who is comfortable working closely with project delivery teams and managing complex construction programmes. The Role Working as part of an established project delivery team, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and controlling project programmes across major MEP works. You will work closely with Project Managers, Commercial Teams, Engineering Teams and Site Management to ensure programmes accurately reflect project progress, risks and delivery requirements. You'll be responsible for developing, maintaining and updating detailed project programmes using Primavera P6, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line. Key responsibilities include producing and managing project schedules, monitoring progress, identifying programme risks and critical paths, preparing regular progress reports, and working closely with project managers, site teams and commercial staff. You MUST have previous site experience. They are ideally looking for someone who has worked their way up from Site Engineer to Sub Agent to Project Manager then gone into Planning. You must have previous experience working on large scale civil engineering projects and previous HS2 and drainage experience is desirable. We are looking for a Freelance Lead P6 Planner to work with one of our clients, one of the UK's largest infrastructure providers. The Planning Lead is responsible for embedding structured planning processes, improving programme quality, and ensuring that planning outputs provide a single version of the truth to support effective delivery and decision-making. Main responsibilities will be portfolio planning and control, programme standardisation, programme quality and assurance, reporting and portfolio insight, planning process ownership, stakeholder engagement, team leadership and coordination and continuous improvement. You'll need experience in baseline programme (P6), monthly updated programmes, programme submission files, lookahead programmes, programme narratives and milestone and progress summaries.
