The position available is for either an experienced Architectural Designer or an experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant, ideally with around 5-10 years of experience. Residential layout design and masterplanning experience is also very much preferred, and the ability to take projects from concept to completion, with particular focus on getting projects through the planning stage. Desired Attributes of the Architectural Designer: A good knowledge of residential layout design reinforced with examples of work. Proven knowledge of current design standards that should be applied to residential projects. Proven experience of working directly with clients as the main point of contact and liaising with local authorities. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience of producing design and access statements. Good knowledge of Working Drawings. AutoCAD experience along with added benefit of Revit, Photoshop and Sketchup (predominantly AutoCAD based role).
