The Role As Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for: Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects. Reviewing tender documentation, drawings, specifications and scopes of works. Producing competitive and commercially robust tenders. Obtaining and analysing quotations from subcontractors and suppliers. Completing take-offs and detailed measurement of works. Identifying risks, opportunities and potential value engineering solutions. Developing project programmes and associated preliminaries where required. Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers. Attending tender adjudications and presenting estimates to senior management. Supporting the commercial team through the handover from pre-construction to delivery. Managing multiple tenders simultaneously while working to strict deadlines. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and supply chain partners. About You We are looking for someone who has: Proven experience as an Estimator/Senior Estimator within civil engineering . Strong knowledge of groundworks, infrastructure and/or general civil engineering. Experience pricing projects ranging from approximately £1m £20m+ . Excellent understanding of construction costs, labour, plant, materials and subcontract packages. Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail. Strong negotiation and communication skills. The ability to work independently and take ownership of the estimating function. Experience using estimating/tendering software and Microsoft Excel. A strong understanding of UK construction contracts and procurement processes. What's on Offer?
