The business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial projects and is continuing to grow its pre-construction and estimating function due to an increasing pipeline of work. The Role An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator (Electrical ) to join a growing pre-construction team based in Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will be responsible for pricing electrical packages across a range of commercial projects, working closely with operations, commercial, and project delivery teams to produce accurate and competitive tenders. This role would suit someone with a strong electrical background who understands both technical delivery and commercial pricing within construction or building services environments. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed electrical estimates and cost plans from drawings, specifications, and tender documents Review project documentation and identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options Produce accurate take-offs and pricing for labour, materials, subcontractors, and equipment Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations Support bid submissions and tender presentations Work closely with project managers and commercial teams during handover stages Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings where required Maintain strong knowledge of current market rates and industry trends Requirements Essential Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within construction or building services Strong understanding of electrical installations and M&E systems Experience pricing commercial fit-out, FM, refurbishment, or construction projects Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Commercially aware with strong attention to detail Excellent communication and organisational skills Desirable Experience within multi-disciplinary contractors or M&E contractors Electrical qualifications or trade background Experience using estimating software Knowledge of both small works and larger project tenders
