This is an excellent opportunity for an Ecologist looking to broaden their experience across civil engineering, construction, infrastructure and maintenance projects. The Role As an Ecologist, you'll support a variety of ecological and environmental activities across multiple projects, including: Undertaking pre-construction ecological surveys, including protected species and invasive non-native species (INNS). Carrying out bird nesting surveys and ecological site inspections. Supporting the preparation of Environmental Management Plans. Visiting live construction sites to undertake environmental audits and inspections. Assisting with waste sampling, classification and environmental monitoring. Delivering toolbox talks and environmental awareness training. Carrying out desk studies to identify sensitive ecological and designated sites. Monitoring water quality and environmental controls during construction activities. About You To be successful, you'll ideally have: A degree in Ecology or a related Environmental discipline. Experience within ecology, ideally supporting construction, infrastructure or civil engineering projects. A sound understanding of UK environmental legislation. Excellent communication and organisational skills. The ability to work across multiple projects and build positive relationships with site teams.
