Due to recently securing a number of large schemes they are currently looking for a senior mechanical design engineer to join their team.
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Permanent - Up to £65,000 + Package
Duties Include:
* Assessing project requirements
* Obtain, read and interpret diagrams and schematics
* Production of manual heat loss and heat gain calculations
* Ventilation calculations
* Ductwork sizing and ventilation system design
* Pipework sizing and system design
* Heating plant selection (boilers, pump sets, pressurisation units, expansion vessels etc)
* Ventilation plant selection
* Comfort cooling design (splits, VRV / VRF)
* Water services and drainage design and sizing
* Reading and interpretation of specifications
* Production of a contractors proposal
* Completing detailed site surveys and report
* Interoperate 3rd party site survey information and ability to glean additional information from them
* Co-ordinate Services
* Produce of clear and detailed hand marked drawings for CAD production and Estimation
* Participate in numerous professional development activities to update knowledge and increase company standards
* Ensure proper documentation is completed of all related processes
* Writing validation / commissioning reports and documentation
* Support project / site managers
Ideal candidates will have:
* A minimum of 5 years experience working for consultancies & contractors
* A string background in Design & Build
* A broad range of project experience including commercial and educational
