Electrical Improver / Labourer (JIB) We deliver planned and reactive maintenance, full service M&E design and installation, and advanced energy efficiency solutions that help our clients maintain compliance and accelerate their journey to Net Zero. We are now recruiting an Electrical Improver / Labourer to support our growing portfolio of projects. Key Responsibilities: In line with the JIB Electrical Improver grading, the post holder will: Assist with the installation, modification, and maintenance of electrical installations under supervision. Carry out electrical work in accordance with instructions provided by an Approved Electrician or Supervisor. Assist with containment installation, cable pulling, glanding, terminating, and fixing electrical components. Use basic electrical tools, equipment, and materials safely and correctly. Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation instructions with guidance. Support inspection and testing activities, including preparing installations for testing. Identify and report faults or hazards to supervising electricians. Comply with the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671), health and safety legislation, and company procedures. Maintain good housekeeping standards on site. Accurately record work completed and materials used when instructed. Engage professionally with team members, site management, and clients. Skills, Experiences & Qualifications: To align with the Electrical Improver grading, candidates should hold or be working towards: Level 2 or Level 3 Electrical Qualification (NVQ, EAL, or equivalent) Current ECS Card Electrical Improver Progress towards full electrical installation qualification Knowledge of BS 7671 (18th Edition) desirable but not essential at entry level Previous site experience within commercial, industrial, or infrastructure environments (desirable). Basic understanding of electrical installation practices and safe systems of work. Ability to work effectively as part of a team under supervision. Willingness to learn, develop skills, and progress towards electrician status. Strong awareness of health and safety responsibilities. Full clean UK driving licence (preferred). On this project, you will be working with galvanised & fire-rated ducting.
