TSR are looking for a Traffic Marshall Gateman to start work on a busy construction site in the Newcastle area ASAP. Key Responsibilities: Direct vehicles and plant equipment safely around the site. Maintain site access control, logging in/out all vehicles and visitors. Ensure delivery vehicles are safely guided onto and off-site. Communicate with site operatives and delivery drivers to coordinate movement. Monitor and manage the flow of traffic to prevent congestion and accidents. Conduct basic security checks and ensure unauthorized access is prevented. Follow health and safety procedures at all times. Keep the gate and surrounding area clean and clear of hazards. This is a key site support role, responsible for managing vehicle movements, controlling site access and ensuring the safety of operatives, visitors and deliveries entering and leaving site. They are responsible for maintaining security on-site, facilitating the movement of vehicles, and preserving public traffic routes. You will be required to work on-site when not based at the Gate in the role of General Operative. Key Responsibilities Maintaining site security: as a traffic marshal, you are responsible for the security and safety of visitors and workers on the site Controlling vehicle movements Guide deliveries and visitors around the site without causing damage or accidents Ability to use communication tools and hand signals to communicate with drivers Ability to use a two-way radio to advise the site team of the arrival of deliveries Create clear routes for entrance and exit to ease movement in and out of the site, and ensure the vehicles exiting the site don't cause traffic disruption on the public highway Ensuring pedestrian safety, the vehicle pathways shouldn't pose a danger to pedestrians on the road Guide pedestrians out of harm's way when heavy vehicles are turning As and when not based on the Gate, you will carry out General Operative Duties Ensure you attend all site briefings, forums, and toolbox talks Essential: Ability to work alone and as part of the larger site team Have good organisational skills and be prepared to assert themselves to get the job done CSCS card CPCS Traffic Marshall Desireable: Previous industry experience
