The role covers domestic properties, voids, communal areas, sheltered accommodation, offices and commercial premises , ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with current regulations. Key Responsibilities Carry out EICRs, initial verification testing and remedial works. Diagnose and repair electrical faults across domestic and non-domestic properties. Undertake rewires, consumer unit upgrades and electrical installations. Install and maintain communal lighting, emergency lighting and fire/smoke alarm systems. Complete digital certification and ensure compliance with BS 7671 and health and safety legislation. Inspect and upgrade void properties to required letting standards. Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent). Full UK Driving Licence. Experience working across both domestic and commercial/non-domestic environments. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills, particularly when working with residents and customers. Desirable Social housing or local authority experience. This is a temporary position for 3 months, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role. You will be working in customer homes and communal areas across Salford and Greater Manchester. Day-to-day of the role: Work Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:15 PM, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Repair and replace electrical fittings, diagnose and rectify electrical faults. Rewire properties including both 1st and 2nd fix. Adhere to the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and complete relevant certification to BS: 7671 including EICR, Minor Works, and Installation certificates. Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota, which is compensated in addition to the basic salary. Required Skills & Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering. Certification in 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. Excellent customer service skills. Full clean UK driving licence. Ability to work independently and manage work through a PDA/tablet.
