Senior Project Manager Coventry Freelance (Outside IR35) Salary Negotiable The Client My client is an international organisation who are a leading security solutions and communications provider. The service they provide includes design, installation, maintenance and commissioning of products which include all security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Facial Recognition, ACS, Electrified Fencing etc) as well as secure Fibre/Telecoms. The sectors they tend to work in tend to be Capital Delivery/Infrastructure projects, Rail, National Grid, Oil & Gas, Nuclear etc. The Role * Project management of LV installation on HV sites and construction activities on Infrastructure projects. * Client liaison and attendance at meetings. * Design review meetings. * Managing the work of sub-contractors on site. * Ensuring adherence to Health & Safety. * Commercial Awareness, looking to break down the project and improving service delivery times on each element. Responsibilities * Working on capital delivery projects * Transmission and distribution experience required. * To deliver Connections on time and within budget * Maintain financial control of projects throughout using correct procedures. * Develop Construction Method Statements and prepare site instruction. * Carry out Risk Assessments and safety audits as required * Ensure all works are carried out to DNO specifications. * Carry out all works in line with company policies and procedures * Liaise with other staff / client to ensure all targets and key milestones are met. * Ensure that the legal completion for their individual projects is being monitored. * To provide and feedback relevant KPI information as required. * To hold all current relevant authorisations and certification related to the project before personnel can carry out the works. * Experience in managing projects involving LV/ HV cables and/or substations, with a track record of safe, timely and profitable delivery Skills Required * Electrical background or experience of managing electrical aspects of a project. * Commercially aware, specifically NEC knowledge. * Full project lifecycle experience. * Change Management. * Experience of working on challenging projects. * Good people management skills. * Ideally have some knowledge of security systems on previous projects. * Capital Delivery project experience, this could be on Rail, National Grid, Nuclear, Water, Power Generation, Gas, Solar or other relevant sectors. Qualifications * Some form of construction related qualification, ideally electrical although this isn’t a necessity.
