Senior Quantity Surveyor About the Company Our client is a well-established sports construction contractor with over 20 years experience delivering synthetic pitches, athletics tracks, multi-use games areas, and associated civil engineering schemes. Now part of a major European sports surface group, they are expanding and strengthening their commercial team. The Opportunity They are looking for an energetic and proactive Quantity Surveyor to take on a varied commercial role. This position is ideal for someone with a civils/groundworks background who has experience working in smaller, hands-on environments. You ll be involved across the full commercial process from tendering and estimating through to valuations, contract management and final accounts. The tender workload can be fast-paced and reactive, so they re seeking someone who enjoys a busy environment and can help drive tenders forward. Key Responsibilities Prepare and manage tenders, estimates and quotations Oversee commercial duties from tender award to final account Conduct monthly valuations, cost reporting and contract reviews with the Finance Manager Source and appoint subcontractors Support high-volume tender periods (notably Feb March) Build strong relationships with clients and identify new opportunities What We re Looking For HND/HNC or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field Strong civils/groundworks background Experience across both QS and estimating functions Confident working independently and taking commercial ownership Energetic, positive and motivated someone who wants to be part of a growing business Strong communication, commercial awareness and attention to detail Full UK driving licence Legal Information: We act as an employment agency for permanent work and as an employment business for temporary work.
