Prestige Recruitment are currently recruiting for machine operators for our prestigious client who have been the industry leader in kitchen manufacturing for both the UK and US markets for 35 years, and has now become the UK's fastest growing designer, manufacturer and retailer of fully assembled kitchen cabinets. These roles are to be based in Barton.
The purpose of the role is working within a department following high spec designs to manufacture high quality end products. You will be operating and using a wide range of woodworking machinery and tools.
The responsibilities below are to be carried out to the highest standards:
* Follow detailed technical drawings in order to produce end products
* Effectively and safely control a variety of woodworking machinery including CNC drills, edge banders and glue machines, and a variety of hand tools.
* Ensure allocated production targets are met
* Carry out rigorous quality checks and reporting any quality issues to management and the QC team.
* Adhere to health and safety in the workplace.
* Adhere to procedures regarding the proper use and care of equipment and materials associated with the role.
Desired Skills & Knowledge:
* Warehouse experience would be an advantage but not essential
* Organised with strong time management.
* Flexibility, commitment and punctuality.
* Previous machine operating experience within a manufacturing environment.
* Good knowledge of manufactured products.

Management System, both in normal and emergency situations.

Experience of CNC horizontal and vertical machining centres
Knowledge of ISO programming and editing
Able to read and understand engineering drawings including hydraulic fixture drawings.
Experience of Carbide/PCD tooling and tool setting.
Experience of Hydraulic fixtures for clamping components.
Experience of fault finding on hydraulic fixtures
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Good communication skills, both oral and written
Good presentation and negotiation skills
Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
Able to work effectively on own initiative and effectively contribute within a team environment
Able to see activities through to completion
Available to work shifts
Desirable Criteria:
Third level qualification in an engineering discipline
