Draughtsperson Heavy Civils & Earthworks (Contract) Major Infrastructure Project Bridgwater Area If you re the kind of Draughtsperson who takes pride in getting drawings right first time not just pushing lines around a screen this is one worth your attention. We re looking for an experienced Contract Draughtsperson / CAD Technician to support delivery on a major heavy civil engineering scheme near Bridgwater. This is a long-term project running through to 2027/28 , offering genuine continuity and the chance to be embedded within a high-performing site team. The Project This is a large, multi-phase infrastructure scheme delivering complex civils works, including: Sheet piling Major earthworks River realignments Bridges and viaducts It s a technically demanding environment with multiple work fronts ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the action and producing accurate, buildable information. The Role You ll play a key role supporting engineering and delivery teams by producing, updating and maintaining accurate drawings across the project. This isn t a back-office role you ll be working closely with engineers and site teams to ensure drawings reflect what s actually happening on site. Key Responsibilities Producing and updating construction drawings and as-builts Interpreting and implementing engineer mark-ups and redlines Supporting engineers with temporary and permanent works detailing Maintaining accurate and up-to-date drawing registers Ensuring all drawings reflect latest revisions and site changes Working closely with site engineers to capture as-built information Assisting with quality assurance and documentation control Supporting coordination across multiple work sections About You We re looking for a Draughtsperson who understands civils not just CAD. You ll likely have experience working on large infrastructure or heavy civils projects and be confident operating in a fast-paced, site-led environment. This company designs and installs luxury interiors for the retail, hospitality, residential and commercial sectors and have a live vacancy for a technical draftsperson to produce shop drawings for their joinery & fit-out projects. You will need to have several years of experience in creating manufacturing level drawings and cutting lists for complete bespoke items ranging from kitchens to jewellery showcases to staircases to reception desks to bathroom cabinets. You will need to understand how a whole array of materials can work together including timber, glass, metal, stone and plastic. The main responsibility will be the setting out of fit-out projects, coordinating other trades into the master drawings. For example, does the air conditioning clash with the lighting? does the sprinkler clash with the joinery? Their clients provide the initial design drawings and the Technical Draftsperson will then redraw them to a fully detailed level for manufacture. This position is for a Structural CAD technician for their head office in Henley on Thames. You should live within commutable distance to the practice and have a full driving licence and car. Contract or Permanent They relate to a broad range of building structure and civil engineering works and aim to provide an efficient, economical and professional service to all Clients and other members of their team. All projects are overseen by a Chartered Engineer who is responsible for ensuring that all staff employed on the project are suitably qualified for their involvement. It is the responsibility of the Engineer controlling the project to ensure at the planning stage that adequate time and resources are allocated to fulfil all elements of the design process. They seek an AutoCAD structural technician with a reasonable amount of experience to be able to hit the ground running and work with a fast paced team. Key responsibilities include, preparing drawings, sketches and graphics with minimal supervision. You should have a CV which demonstrates your previous track record of being a proficient structural draftsperson.
