MEP BIM Lead - Data Centres Location: Liverpool Street, London Salary: Up to 80,000, dependent on experience Working Pattern: 4 days office-based, 1 day working from home The Opportunity An established building services contractor is looking to appoint an experienced MEP BIM Lead to oversee BIM delivery across several data centre projects from its London office, near Liverpool Street. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong BIM professional with a background in mechanical and electrical building services to take a leading role across multiple large-scale data centre developments. The successful candidate will oversee BIM coordination and delivery, ensuring models are accurate, services are fully coordinated and project teams have the information required to deliver installations efficiently. The role would suit someone with a strong understanding of MEP installation and construction, who can manage BIM activities across multiple projects while working closely with design teams, project managers, engineers and site-based personnel. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee BIM delivery across several data centre projects simultaneously. Manage and coordinate MEP models to support installation and construction activities. Oversee BIM standards, workflows and processes across all assigned projects. Coordinate mechanical, electrical and public health services with architectural and structural models. Identify and resolve clashes and coordination issues before they impact site installation. Manage clash detection, model reviews and the production of coordinated BIM deliverables. Ensure compliance with project BIM Execution Plans, information requirements and relevant industry standards. Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams to ensure effective coordination. Support site teams with accurate BIM information and coordinated installation models. Monitor model quality, project progress and delivery deadlines across multiple schemes. Provide technical guidance and support to BIM Coordinators and modellers. Identify opportunities to improve BIM processes, coordination efficiency and construction delivery. Requirements Proven experience in an MEP BIM Lead, BIM Manager or senior BIM coordination role. Strong background in mechanical and electrical building services. Experience working on data centre projects or other complex, mission-critical developments. Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Navisworks. Experience managing BIM coordination across multiple projects. A good understanding of MEP installation, construction sequencing and services coordination. Knowledge of BIM Execution Plans, clash detection, model federation and information management. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively between design, project management and site teams. You will develop 3D models, visualisations and 4D construction sequencing models to support project delivery, tender submissions, method statements and client presentations. Working closely with project managers, planners and the BIM team, you will help deliver high-quality digital outputs that support construction planning, project coordination and buildability. Key Responsibilities Develop 3D models and visualisations using Revit and other relevant software. Produce renders, animations and digital outputs for tenders, method statements and client presentations. Create 4D construction sequencing models using Synchro, linking models to construction programmes. Work with planners and project managers to develop detailed construction sequences. Support the BIM Coordinator with model reviews, clash detection and coordination activities. Ensure digital deliverables meet project requirements, quality standards and agreed deadlines. Essential Skills and Experience Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and relevant add-ins. Understanding of 4D modelling and construction sequencing.
