FREELANCE SCENIC CARPENTERS / BENCH JOINERS Freelance Scenic Carpenters / Bench Joiners Needed High-End Scenic Build, Events & Experiential Projects We are currently looking for experienced Freelance Scenic Carpenters and Bench Joiners to support a busy workshop period from September through to November. The work involves producing high-quality scenic builds, exhibition structures, experiential installations and bespoke fabricated elements for a range of fast-paced projects. We are looking for a reliable semi skilled bench joiners mate to support skilled joiners within a busy workshop. This is a hands-on role assisting with the manufacture of bespoke joinery items and keeping the workshop running efficiently. This position is ideal for someone with basic woodworking experience or someone looking to get into the joinery trade and learn on the job.

Cabinet Maker / Bench Joiner / Bespoke Carpenter Job Overview We are currently recruiting experienced Cabinet Makers, Bench Joiners, and Bespoke Carpenters for a busy workshop with ongoing work for a minimum of 2 months, with the potential for extension. Location Workshop-based role with on-site parking available Occasional installation work on-site (optional, depending on location) Pay £210 £240 per day Overtime and weekend work paid at time and a quarter Hours 07 00 Two 30-minute breaks 8 hours paid per day Duties Bench joinery and workshop-based carpentry Manufacturing high-end bespoke joinery, including kitchens, wardrobes, and fitted furniture Reading and working from technical drawings Working efficiently as part of a skilled workshop team Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail Requirements Proven experience in bench joinery and/or high-end second fix carpentry NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Carpentry & Joinery (preferred) Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finishes Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable with a positive, hardworking attitude Additional Information Immediate start available Ongoing work with the potential for long-term opportunities Weekend work available when required Local candidates preferred, but not essential

REQUIREMENTS OF BENCH JOINERS/CABINET MAKERS Must have experience manufacturing high end joinery and cabinetry. Must be located within commutable distance Time served (minimum 3 years) or NVQ in bench joinery or equivalent. Experience in modern woodworking machinery and hand tools. Experience in reading drawings, templates & written instructions. Products are all bespoke and range from sliding sash windows, casement windows, doors, screens and architectural mouldings. Ability to work to tight deadlines. Ability to use problem-solving and critical thinking skills. To be able to work independently or as part of a team. Manufacture and assemble bespoke timber windows, doors and cabinets. Machine timber in preparation for assembly.
