The Role
We are seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to lead all pre-contract activities and ensure the successful transition of projects from client instruction through to contract execution. This is a pivotal role within TG Escapes, focused on securing viable, profitable projects while coordinating internal teams, consultants, and clients.
This role is office-based at our Coventry Head Office, therefore candidates must be within a commutable distance, although flexible/hybrid working may be available for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Construction Leadership
Act as the primary point of contact during the pre-construction phase for clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams.

Challenge assumptions, value-engineer solutions, and mitigate commercial risk.
Support preparation of tender bids, proposals, and client presentations.
Programme Development
Establish preliminary design and manufacturing programmes aligned with TG Escapes’ build solutions.
Identify critical path items, procurement lead times, and efficiencies.

Risk Management & Compliance

Skills & Experience
Essential
Proven experience in pre-construction within modular (MMC) or off-site construction.
Experience leading multidisciplinary design and technical teams.
Strong commercial awareness and ability to interpret cost plans, BOQs, and tender documentation.
Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Desirable
Experience within education and leisure sectors.

You will be a strong and innovative multi-tasker, able to integrate with other team specialisms such as Consultancy, Community Engagement and Built Heritage into project design and delivery models. You will be a confident negotiator, able to communicate across a wide range of stakeholder interests, with a sound working knowledge of National Planning Policy Frameworks and the planning process. Maintaining quality and high standards are essential and will be delivered through your skill with review, editing and production of technical and commercial reports.
