Position: Assistant Commercial Manager Location: Fareham Salary: 35,000 - 45,000 DOE Bennett & Game are representing a rapidly growing solar and renewable energy contractor who are seeking a commercially astute Assistant Commercial Manager to join their expanding business. Estimator (Assistant Senior) Location: Warrington or Salford Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 Package: £5,000 Car Allowance, Mileage, Travel Expenses, etc. Project Types: Commercial Buildings, Cat A & Cat B Office Fit Outs, Industrial Buildings, Warehouses The Role We are looking for an Estimator to join the pre-construction team, working alongside the Senior Estimator, Pre-Construction Director and wider commercial team on commercial and industrial fit out and refurbishment projects across the UK. Projects range in value from £100k to £3m, with typical programme durations of 5 weeks to 5 months. The role is open to Assistant through to Senior level, with responsibilities and salary reflecting experience. The company is open to candidates from different sectors who have the right character, attitude and passion to develop within the business. Duties Prepare accurate estimates and tenders for a mixture of competitive tenders, repeat client price work and framework opportunities. Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work and tender documentation. Complete take-offs and prepare detailed cost estimates. Obtain and assess quotations from subcontractors and suppliers. Build up rates and pricing for labour, materials, plant and subcontractor packages. Prepare preliminaries, overheads and profit allowances. Review and compare subcontractor and supplier tenders to ensure competitive and accurate pricing. Identify risks, exclusions and opportunities within tender packages. Assist with tender queries and clarifications throughout the pre-construction process. Attend site visits, client meetings and tender meetings where required. Strong understanding of construction costs, materials, labour and subcontractor packages. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and tender documentation. Strong attention to detail with good commercial awareness. Good communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tenders at different stages.
