We are currently recruiting for a talented Senior Architectural Technologist to join an Architectural Practice based in Fordingbridge. Our client has national presence and work on an array of exciting Historic, Hotel, Community, Care and Residential projects. These projects are typically anywhere in the value between 2m - 40m. Our client seeks someone with a strong technical background as they have a variety of projects that the successful Senior Architectural Technologist will be working on from Stage 4 onwards. Currently the practice is close to 30 members of staff and have a long term growth plan for further staff to join the team. There is also opportunity for a progression plan to become an Associate within this practice. The most successful Architectural Technologist will be a confident character, with the prospect of managing your own team. Our client primarily use Revit on their projects so a strong knowledge of the software would be advantageous. Senior Architectural Technologist - Birmingham City Centre! I am currently recruiting for an exciting role, for a National client based in their Birmingham office! You will To undertake the role of a Senior Architectural Technician/Technologist, alongside the coaching of junior staff and leading design schemes from inception through to completion. The role will also involve the creation of laser scanning activities and production of drawings. Main Duties and Responsibilities 1. Preparing design drawings and specifications for new build and refurbishment projects to a range of property types 2. Checking design drawings prepared by others 3. Training other Architectural Technologists in preparing design drawings, including sketches and detailed design proposal 4. Arranging and managing laser scan measured surveys 5. Compiling Point Clouds from Laser scans 6. Full traditional measured surveys using Disto etc 7. Preparing existing floor plans and elevations from point clouds/disto surveys 8. The client are a volume house builder with a great reputation for delivering good quality houses across the Thames Valley region. They are currently recruiting for a Junior Architectural Technologist to join their existing in-house Technical and Architecture team. The candidate will be responsible for the documentation and filing of CAD drawings and assistant the Architects and Technical Managers when needed. Candidates must have experience working with CAD drawings, must have had some experience working within the Technical team of a house builder and must be based within an hour of Oxford. Due to the level of experience required the client have stated they would be looking to pay up to £27.5k + package. Responsibilities * Assist in producing detailed working drawings, plans, elevations, and sections in line with the original Architectural planning drawings. * Assist in producing detailed foundation and ground floor, first floor joist and roof layouts, M and E layouts and external joinery and door schedules. * Help value Engineer the planning drawings, improve internal layout, and agree as necessary. * Liaise with Structural Engineer regarding structural elements, foundation design * Review and amend site works drawing together with checking orientation of the houses. Also check Engineer's layouts and confirm the drainage points are in the correct location. * Discuss with SAP Assessor and ensure that house types comply with Part L and ensure information is consistent and received on time. Ensure air permeability tests are sent to NHBC and that resulting EPC's distributed to relevant persons. * Liaise with NHBC Building Control and resolve any outstanding NHBC Surveying Conditions throughout the duration of the project. Discuss with relevant parties to ensure conditions are discharged. * Ensure all updated drawings are filed in correct folder within our cloud file structure. * Update Drawing Issue sheets when required. * Assist with the coordination of section 38, 278 and 104 agreements. A Senior Architectural Technician/Technologist is required to join a rapidly expanding Architectural Practice that is well established and reputable in their market. Based from Harrogate you will live within a good commute of the office.
