Air Source Heat Pump Installer (Permanent) Cornwall £40,000 - £45,000 Overview: We are currently recruiting for an Air Source Heat Pump Installer to join a growing Renewable Energy team delivering low-carbon heating solutions across Cornwall. This is a permanent, full-time position installing Air Source Heat Pumps and associated renewable heating systems within occupied residential properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning and handover of Air Source Heat Pump systems, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities for the Air Source Heat Pump Installer: Installing Air Source Heat Pump systems in domestic properties Completing heating system upgrades and associated plumbing works Installing hot water cylinders, pipework, radiators and ancillary equipment Carrying out system commissioning, testing and customer handovers Working from technical drawings, specifications and installation designs Maintaining accurate job records and installation documents. With a strong pipeline of both private domestic work and large-scale, government-funded social housing schemes, this is a great opportunity to join a business at the forefront of the UK s transition to low-carbon heating. The Role As a Heat Pump Engineer / Installer, you ll be responsible for the installation and commissioning of air source (and ideally ground source) heat pump systems in a mix of private homes and social housing properties. Work will be both standalone and as part of a wider delivery team on funded programmes. Key Responsibilities Installation of air source heat pump systems (ASHP), including full system upgrades Working on retrofit projects within occupied and void properties Commissioning systems and ensuring optimal performance Maintaining high standards of health & safety and customer care What We re Looking For Proven experience installing heat pumps (ASHP essential, GSHP desirable) Relevant plumbing & heating qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent) Experience working in domestic properties (social housing experience a plus) Strong understanding of heating systems and controls Full UK driving licence
