An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Digital Design Coordinator to join a major construction project in Bedfordshire.

This is a long-term opportunity offering immediate contract work on a significant development, working as part of an established project delivery team. You'll play a key role in the coordination of digital design information across multiple disciplines, supporting the successful delivery of a large-scale construction project.

We're particularly interested in candidates from a main contractor, specialist contractor or major project environment who understand how BIM and digital construction processes support live project delivery.

The Role

Working closely with design, commercial and construction teams, you will be responsible for coordinating design information throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring models, drawings and associated documentation are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate digital design information across multiple disciplines.
  • Manage BIM workflows and information exchange processes.
  • Review, maintain and coordinate federated models.
  • Support clash detection and design coordination activities.
  • Ensure compliance with project BIM standards, protocols and information requirements.
  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors and project delivery teams.
  • Support design review workshops and coordination meetings.
  • Drive best practice in digital delivery and information management.
  • Assist project teams in resolving design and coordination issues.
  • Help ensure design information is issued accurately and in line with programme requirements.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience working within construction as a Digital Design Coordinator, BIM Coordinator, Digital Engineering Coordinator or similar.
  • Demonstrable construction industry experience.
  • Experience supporting large-scale construction, infrastructure or major project schemes.
  • Strong understanding of BIM and digital construction processes.
  • Experience using Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud and associated digital platforms.
  • Ability to coordinate information between design and site delivery teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

What's On Offer?

  • £350-£450 per day depending on experience.
  • Long-term project with an expected duration of 2+ years.
  • Potential opportunity to move into a permanent position.
  • Stable and collaborative project environment.
  • Immediate interviews available.
  • Genuine long-term career opportunity.

Important Information

Construction experience is essential.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience coordinating BIM and digital design information within a live construction, infrastructure or major project environment.

Candidates whose experience is predominantly within architectural or design consultancies, without involvement in construction delivery teams, are unlikely to be suitable.

If you're an experienced Digital Design Coordinator looking for a long-term opportunity on a major construction project, we'd like to hear from you.
