I am looking to source a Contaminated Land Remediation Project Manger to work on projects across Teesside and the North/North East of England. My client currently has an ongoing large project near Middlesbrough and a healthy pipeline for the future. This is a specialist contractor with projects in the demolition, remediation and enabling works sectors. The ideal candidate will have around 5 years project management experience within the remediation industry although a mixture of remediation/earthworks/Civil Engineering experience will also be very useful. Experience & Knowledge: Proven experience as a Site Manager or aspiring Project Manager within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure Background delivering water or wastewater projects Commercial awareness prioritising cost control during the delivery phases of works (allocation of labour, plant and materials). Solid understanding of CDM Regulations and construction H&S requirements Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary teams Confident client-facing communicator able to build strong working relationships Skills & Attributes: Demonstrable planning and efficient execution of works. Strong leadership and team-coordination skills Ability to assess risks and implement effective mitigation strategies (be able to solve unforeseen problems in a live environment). Comfortable working in highway environments with external stakeholders and multiple delivery constraints. Proficient in project reporting tools and Excel-based cost trackers. Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar (Desirable) Association of Project Managers or equivalent.
