Key Responsibilities: Safely operating a telescopic handler across an active residential housing development. Unloading delivery lorries and staging materials (timber kits, bricks, blocks, roof trusses) across designated plots. Assisting sub-contractors and site trades with scheduled overhead and ground material lifts. Carrying out daily plant inspections, recording pre-use checks, and keeping the machine clean and secure. Enforcing strict site safety rules, including pedestrian segregation and safe working load limits around live plots. Stepping off the machine during quieter periods to assist with general site housekeeping and keeping the compound organised. Role Requirements: Valid CPCS or NPORS Card with Telescopic Handler category (Essential). Solid experience operating a Telehandler on new build housing sites (Timber frame experience is a plus). Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots). Valid UK driving licence. Strong work ethic, excellent punctuality, and clear communication skills. Based in or easily commutable to Mayfield, Dalkeith, or the broader South Edinburgh area.
