Mechanical Construction Manager
Location: Central London
Salary: £65,000 £75,000 + Travel + Private Healthcare + 10% Bonus
Holiday: 25 Days + Bank Holidays
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join a leading contractor delivering prestigious commercial fit-out projects across Central London.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical/M&E background with proven experience delivering CAT A, CAT B, office fit-out and refurbishment projects. You will be responsible for managing mechanical construction activities from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical construction activities across commercial fit-out projects.
- Oversee subcontractors, site teams and specialist suppliers.
- Coordinate HVAC, ventilation, pipework, public health and other mechanical services.
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to specification.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Design Teams, Electrical and Commissioning teams.
- Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Monitor progress, quality, resources and project risks.
- Attend client and coordination meetings.
- Support testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager within M&E/Building Services.
- Strong CAT A/CAT B commercial fit-out experience.
- Good knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, pipework and public health systems.
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades.
- Strong programme, sequencing and project delivery knowledge.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- CSCS and SMSTS.
- Full UK driving licence.
