Site Manager (Umbrella PAYE) Location: Near Oxford Contract Type: 4-month initial contract (Umbrella PAYE only) Daily Rate: £300 - £350 per day Summary We are seeking an experienced Site Manager for a 4-month initial contract to manage the strip-out of an empty steel frame warehouse near Oxford. The project involves demolition works, removal of mezzanine floors, and preparation of the building for conversion into a hatchling factory. The successful candidate will have proven experience working on steel-framed buildings, including concrete slab, ceilings, and M&E installations on similar projects. You will report directly to a site-based Project Manager and be responsible for overseeing all site activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and maintaining programme and quality requirements. This role is strictly Umbrella PAYE; CIS or Ltd Company payments will not be accepted. The project is due to start mid-September. Key Responsibilities Manage and supervise all site activities related to the strip-out and demolition of steel-framed warehouse structures Coordinate subcontractors and site operatives to maintain programme and quality standards Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including asbestos removal protocols Oversee site logistics, welfare, and safe working practices Liaise with the Project Manager and other stakeholders to resolve issues and report progress Maintain accurate site documentation and conduct regular site briefings and toolbox talks Skills Proven experience managing steel-framed building projects, including concrete slab, ceilings, and M&E works Strong leadership and team coordination skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management Ability to manage health and safety compliance effectively, including asbestos removal Good organisational and time management skills Experience supervising demolition and strip-out works Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Competent in site documentation and reporting Problem-solving and decision-making capability Flexibility to adapt to site requirements and work collaboratively Certifications & Standards SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) Essential First Aid Certification Essential CSCS Card Essential Temporary Works Certificate Essential Asbestos Removal Certificate Essential Software/Tools Common site management and reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) For further information or to apply, please ensure you meet the Umbrella PAYE payment condition as specified.
