Perform weekly fire alarm testing and assist as a Fire Warden during planned and unplanned evacuations. Open and secure buildings as required and provide access to contractors, visitors, and other authorised personnel. Support the Senior Facilities Officer and provide guidance to other maintenance team members and junior staff. Person Specification Essential Proven experience in building maintenance, repairs, and caretaking services. Sound experience undertaking maintenance and repair work across a range of building systems. Ability to identify faults and resolve minor maintenance issues effectively. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook. Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision. Strong organisational and communication skills. Knowledge of health and safety procedures relating to building maintenance. Desirable City & Guilds qualification in Plumbing, Carpentry, or a related trade.
