Industrial Maintenance Electrician (6-Month Contract)
Waste-to-Energy Facility Bristol (BS10)
30.00 - 35.00 per hour
(CIS / Ltd)
(must live locally due to 1-week per month on-call)

We're recruiting for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician to support a major Waste-to-Energy facility in Bristol.

This role will see you carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a modern process plant, helping to maximise plant reliability and minimise downtime. The position would suit an electrician with previous experience in manufacturing, process, production, power, recycling, FMCG, utilities or other industrial environments.

With an immediate start available and strong potential for contract extension, this is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work on a large-scale industrial site.

Working Pattern

  • Monday to Friday
  • Typical shift is a 9 to 10 hour working day
  • Standby/on-call rota 1 week per month
  • Ongoing contract potential for 6-month extension

Key Responsibilities

  • Planned and reactive electrical maintenance across plant equipment and site infrastructure
  • Electrical fault finding, diagnosis and repair
  • Maintenance of industrial machinery, motors, drives, pumps and associated equipment
  • Installation and replacement of electrical components and systems
  • Electrical testing, inspection and commissioning activities
  • Supporting maintenance shutdowns and plant improvement projects
  • Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent electrical qualification
  • ATEX - Experience working within hazardous area or ATEX environments
  • Previous experience as an Industrial Maintenance Electrician, Electrical Technician or Electrical Maintenance Engineer
  • Strong electrical fault-finding experience
  • Experience working within manufacturing, production, process or industrial environments
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • CompEx certification
  • ECS Gold Card
  • CCNSG Safety Passport
  • Experience within energy, waste-to-energy, recycling, utilities, chemical or process plant environments
