M&E Co-ordinator required for Main Contractor for a Student/resi project in London. Perm c 60-65k + package. An M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) Coordinator will manage and integrate building services systems such as HVAC, plumbing, power, and lighting, from design through installation, testing, and handover on construction projects. You will act as the key technical link between site management, design consultants, and specialist subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities will be;
Design Coordination: Review M&E drawings and specifications, resolve clashes using tools like AutoCAD or BIM, and ensure integration with structural and architectural elements.
Subcontractor Management: Oversee mechanical and electrical trade contractors, chair coordination meetings, and manage information flow.
Progress & Programme Monitoring: Track M&E installation against master construction schedules and manage equipment procurement timelines.
Quality & Compliance: Inspect site installations to verify compliance with building regulations, client specifications, and health and safety standards.
Commissioning & Handover: Oversee system testing, witness commissioning, and compile Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Degree, HNC, or equivalent in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.Experience: 3 to 5 years of practical experience in M&E coordination or building services within the construction sector.Technical Skills: Strong understanding of MEP systems, technical drawings, and software proficiency (AutoCAD, BIM).
