Site Manager - Civil Engineering / Infrastructure

300- 350 per day (CIS)
40-60 Week Contract

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join our team on a long-term contract delivering infrastructure and construction projects.

Rail experience is not essential. We welcome applications from Site Managers with a strong background in construction, civil engineering or infrastructure who are looking to transition into the rail sector.

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.



Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager with the day-to-day running of site operations.
  • Lead Health, Safety and Environmental activities, ensuring full compliance on site.
  • Prepare and manage site safety documentation, including WPPs, TBRAs and permits to work.
  • Deliver site safety briefings and maintain all HSE records.
  • Manage labour, plant and materials to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
  • Maintain accurate site diaries, progress reports, timesheets and plant records.
  • Monitor site competencies and maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, designers and the commercial team.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Monitor programme progress and support successful project delivery.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager, General Foreman or Site Supervisor within construction, civil engineering or infrastructure.
  • SMSTS qualification.
  • CSCS Manager's Card.
  • HNC (or equivalent) in a construction-related discipline is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and site management.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple work activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • PTS certification is advantageous but can be supported where required.
