As Design Manager, you will: Manage and coordinate all design and draughting activities for multiple live projects Lead and mentor a team of draughtsmen, supporting their development and overseeing output quality Oversee drawing production using Tekla Structures and other CAD software Liaise with architects, structural engineers, main contractors, and clients to resolve design queries and drive technical solutions Attend site surveys and progress meetings as needed Support project teams through fabrication and installation phases, ensuring designs are buildable, cost-effective, and compliant Key Requirements: Proven experience in a Design Manager, Senior Draughtsman, or similar leadership role within architectural metalwork, structural steelwork, or a related sector Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural drawings Confident communicating with architects, designers, fabricators, and site teams Proficiency with Tekla Structures is essential Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draughtsman/woman to join our clients design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating 3D models on the latest Tekla design software. Models will be created from a variety of starting points such as fully detailed engineers drawings, architectural drawings, site surveys and or from scratch for design proposals. Responsibilities Create detailed 3D models to align with design intentions from the client Connection details for internal or external sign of Transfer site survey information into the 3D model Liaise with clients and third party engineers on design queries Ordering of materials from suppliers Create general arrangement drawings for client approval Produce production and site installation packages inline with our standard templates Work with senior draughtsman on model approvals during internal checks Liaise with production manager on fabrication queries Liaise with installation site supervisors on installation queries Skills Experience in 3D modelling and detailing using Tekla software Ability to interpret architectural or engineering drawings into detailed models. They are looking for a teckla 3D CAD Draughtsman ideally with structural steel experience to take up a permanent position on the books with their business. A Tekla 3D CAD Draughtsman is a specialized technical professional who uses Tekla Structures software to create precise 3D models, general arrangement drawings, and fabrication details for structural steel and reinforced concrete projects. They have a strong order book of future works. Location: Cardiff PAYE Hourly Rate: 18.00 - 21.50 Key Responsibilities 3D Modeling: Build data-rich 3D models for steelwork or reinforced concrete structures (such as beams, columns, thick walls, and foundations). Drawing Production: Generate accurate General Arrangement (GA) drawings, assembly drawings, and material take-offs or bar bending schedules. BIM Coordination: Work within a Building Information Modeling (BIM) environment to coordinate models with architects, engineers, and fabricators while managing clashes.
