Job Description

A respected construction consultancy based in Oxford is seeking a Project Manager with around four years' experience to join its established team. The Project Manager will work on high-end residential projects across Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas, supporting private clients, developers and professional teams on carefully designed new-build, refurbishment and restoration schemes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who wants to take greater responsibility for complex residential projects. The successful Project Manager will manage schemes from early feasibility through to completion, while the Project Manager will work closely with experienced senior colleagues and specialist consultants. The Project Manager will join a supportive business offering strong long-term progression and exposure to high-quality projects.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.



The Project Manager's role

The Project Manager will coordinate projects through design, procurement, construction and handover. Responsibilities will include preparing project programmes, managing consultant teams, monitoring risk and maintaining clear communication with clients and contractors.

The Project Manager will chair meetings, prepare progress reports and ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed programme, quality and cost objectives. They will also support procurement exercises, contractor appointments and contract administration duties where required.

Projects will include luxury private homes, sensitive refurbishments, listed buildings and bespoke residential developments. The role will suit a Project Manager who understands the attention to detail, discretion and high level of client service expected within the high-end residential sector.



The Project Manager

The successful Project Manager will have:

  • Four to five years' Project Management experience within a UK construction consultancy
  • Previous exposure to high-end residential, luxury residential or bespoke refurbishment projects
  • A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or a related discipline
  • Progress towards chartership with RICS, APM or CIOB
  • Experience working across several RIBA stages
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
  • Good knowledge of construction contracts, procurement and project reporting
  • The confidence to manage consultants, contractors and demanding project requirements
