Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Telehandler Driver to provide holiday cover on a fast-paced new build housing development in Hull.

This is a great short-term contract for a reliable operator looking to pick up extra hours and work alongside an established housebuilder. You will play a key role in keeping site logistics moving safely and smoothly while the permanent driver is away.



Key Responsibilities

  • Operating a telescopic handler safely and efficiently across a busy residential build.

  • Unloading delivery vehicles and distributing materials (bricks, blocks, timber, roof trusses) across various plots.

  • Assisting sub-contractors and site trades with scheduled and ad-hoc lifts.

  • Carrying out daily pre-checks, maintaining basic plant logs, and ensuring the machine is kept clean and secure.

  • Working closely with the Site Manager to keep daily tasks on schedule.

  • Stepping off the machine when required to assist with general site housekeeping and ensure a safe, organised working environment.



What We Are Looking For

  • Valid CPCS or NPORS Card with Telescopic Handler category (Essential).

  • Solid experience operating a Telehandler on new build housing sites.

  • Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).

  • Valid UK Driving Licence.

  • Strong commitment to site health and safety procedures, particularly regarding pedestrian segregation on live plots.

  • Excellent communication skills, reliability, and a proactive attitude.

  • Based in or easily commutable to Hull.
