We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join a well-established social housing contractor delivering responsive repairs and maintenance across Havant and the surrounding areas.

The Role

As a Responsive Repairs Electrician, you'll be responsible for carrying out a variety of electrical repairs and maintenance works within occupied social housing properties, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Carrying out responsive electrical repairs in occupied domestic properties.
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults including lighting, sockets, circuits and consumer units.
  • Completing repairs to heating controls, extractor fans and electrical accessories.
  • Undertaking minor electrical installation works where required.
  • Ensuring all work complies with BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
  • Accurately recording completed work using handheld devices.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service while working in tenants' homes.
  • Working safely and efficiently in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
  • Participating in the out-of-hours call-out rota (additional payments provided).
What We're Looking ForEssential Experience
  • Qualified Electrician with experience in domestic electrical maintenance.
  • Previous experience within social housing, housing associations, local authority or domestic responsive repairs is highly desirable.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
Essential Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 236 Parts 1 & 2 (or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (17th Edition considered where applicable).
Desirable
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent).
  • Experience completing EICRs.
  • Previous responsive maintenance experience.
