This is a broad project-management role for someone who is comfortable taking ownership from the initial site survey and quotation through to installation, completion and handover. You do not need to come from a pure sales background. The company is particularly interested in experienced Air Conditioning Project Managers who are already used to surveying projects, putting together costs and quotations, dealing directly with clients and helping secure work. About the Company The business specialises in air conditioning and HVAC installation, replacement and maintenance projects across commercial and residential environments. They are continuing to grow and want to strengthen the team with an Air Conditioning Project Manager who can combine strong technical knowledge with commercial awareness and confident client management. There is also the opportunity to develop existing relationships and identify further work, rather than simply taking over projects once they have already been won. The Role As Air Conditioning Project Manager , you will manage projects from initial enquiry through to completion. You will be responsible for: Carrying out site surveys and assessing client requirements Designing and specifying suitable air conditioning solutions Preparing estimates, quotations, costings and technical proposals Managing installation projects from order through to handover Coordinating engineers, subcontractors, labour and materials Monitoring programme, quality, costs, margins and project profitability Attending site meetings and maintaining communication with clients Managing relevant project documentation, RAMS and O&M information Identifying additional work through existing and new client relationships The commercial side of the role is consultative rather than purely sales-led. You will respond to enquiries, present suitable technical solutions and help convert opportunities into profitable projects. What We're Looking For The company is looking for someone with a strong background in air conditioning or HVAC who understands how installation projects work commercially as well as technically. You should ideally have: At least 3 years' experience within air conditioning or HVAC Experience managing air conditioning installation projects Good knowledge of split systems, VRF/VRV, ventilation and associated HVAC equipment Experience surveying sites and producing quotations or estimates Good understanding of project costs, margins and profitability Confidence dealing directly with clients, contractors and other stakeholders A full UK driving licence You could currently be working as an Air Conditioning Project Manager, HVAC Project Manager, Air Conditioning Contracts Manager, HVAC Project Engineer or potentially a Senior Air Conditioning Engineer who already surveys, prices and manages installation work. Desirable Experience The following would be useful but is not essential: F-Gas qualification SMSTS or SSSTS High-end residential project experience Experience working with commercial HVAC contractors or FM providers Previous technical sales or business-development exposure Package The company offers: Competitive basic salary based on experience Performance-related bonus Company vehicle or car allowance Mobile phone and laptop Pension Holiday entitlement plus bank holidays Manufacturer training and ongoing development Opportunity to progress within a growing HVAC business This would suit an experienced Air Conditioning Project Manager who enjoys being involved earlier in the project lifecycle - surveying the work, putting together the solution and price, securing the project and then seeing it through successfully on site.
