Location: Great Yarmouth, Norfolk
Rate: 21.00 - 22.00 per hour (CIS/Umbrella)

We are currently looking for an experienced Telehandler Operator to join our client on a busy commercial construction project in Great Yarmouth. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work with a reputable contractor, offering consistent hours and competitive rates.

The successful candidate will have previous experience operating telehandlers on large commercial construction sites and be confident working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a telescopic forklift (telehandler) in accordance with site regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
• Load, unload and transport building materials, plant and equipment around the site.
• Deliver materials safely to trades working at height and in designated work areas.
• Assist with site deliveries, ensuring materials are checked, unloaded and stored correctly.
• Carry out daily pre-start inspections and routine safety checks on the machine.
• Report any defects, maintenance issues or safety concerns immediately.
• Work closely with the Site Manager, Crane Supervisor and other site operatives to ensure materials are delivered efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Assist with general site duties when the telehandler is not in operation, if required.
• Follow all site health and safety procedures, RAMS and company policies at all times.

Requirements

• Valid CPCS or NPORS Telehandler ticket.
• Valid Medical Certificate (essential).
• Previous experience operating telehandlers on commercial construction projects.
• Good understanding of construction site health and safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full PPE
