Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Foreman to join a major construction project at Teesworks, Redcar. The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision and control of site operations, managing gangs, direct labour and subcontractors, while ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile project with a long-term contract through to December 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate site activities, including direct labour, gangers, and subcontractors.
Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with company policies, procedures, and current legislation.
Promote and maintain a strong Health, Safety and Environmental culture with a focus on Zero Harm.
Assist in the preparation of Work Package Plans, Risk Assessments, Task Briefing Sheets, and Toolbox Talks.
Identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
Monitor plant, equipment, and tools to ensure suitability and safe operation.
Manage daily site activities and chair short interval control meetings.
Monitor workforce productivity, quality standards, and programme targets.
Support quality assurance activities, including inspections and completion of QA records.
Ensure compliance with specifications, inspection and test plans, and contractual requirements.
Report non-conformances and implement corrective actions where required.
Coordinate with engineering teams regarding setting out requirements, permits to break ground, and lifting operations.
Maintain accurate labour, plant, and site records.
Monitor progress against programme milestones and KPIs.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, quality, and productivity.
Ensure a "Right First Time" culture is embedded across the workforce and supply chain.
