Drainage Labourer Middlesbrough Agency: Search Consultancy Location: Middlesbrough Search Consultancy is looking for a reliable, hard-working Drainage Labourer to join our active civil engineering teams across Middlesbrough. We are partnering with leading main contractors and heavy civils specialists who require dependable operatives to work alongside experienced groundworkers on fast-paced deep drainage schemes. The Role Gang Support: Working directly alongside skilled groundworkers to assist with pipe laying, trench preparation, and deep drainage installations. Material Handling: Moving pipework, bedding materials, aggregate, and fittings safely around site to keep the drainage gang supplied. Excavation & Shoring Support: Assisting with the positioning of trench boxes, drag boxes, and shoring systems to maintain a clean, safe trench environment. Site Maintenance: Keeping working trenches, plant access routes, and storage areas clear of debris, water, and mud. Safety First: Strict adherence to site safety rules, safe digging practices, and deep excavation RAMS at all times. Requirements CSCS Card: A valid CSCS card is mandatory. Mandatory PPE: Must have full Orange Hi-Vis (jacket/vest and trousers), Safety Glasses , Hard Hat, and Steel Toe Cap Boots. Experience: Previous experience working on civil engineering sites, around deep drainage, or supporting groundworkers is highly desirable. Reliability: Strong work ethic, physically fit, punctual, and ready to put in a full day's work as part of a busy civils team. Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK. We are seeking experienced Telecoms Engineers to support an upcoming rail telecoms survey project. The role will involve carrying out telecoms surveys, cable testing, and supporting installation preparation works across rail infrastructure environments. Engineers will work alongside general labourers and other project personnel to deliver survey and preparatory works for telecoms installations, with the potential to continue on further phases of the project scheduled through to January 2027.
