Senior General Foreman - Heavy Civils Location: Cumbria Rate: £400-£450 per day Contract: Freelance / Contract Duration: Six weeks initially, with potential follow on projects Start date: October Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am-7:00pm An experienced Senior General Foreman is required to manage the site delivery of a specialist heavy civil engineering package in Cumbria. The initial project involves shaft construction using a caisson method. Further shaft, tunnelling and civil engineering packages are expected to follow, creating the potential for continued work beyond the initial six week programme. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful, you must have: Proven experience as a General Foreman within civil engineering Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete structures, deep excavations, drainage, pipework and associated heavy civils works Experience coordinating subcontractors, direct labour and site resources simultaneously Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and programmes and translate them into effective site delivery Sound leadership, communication and organisational skills CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid and a full UK driving licence.
