DK Recruitment are recruiting for a Mobile Fabric Engineer on behalf of a leading commercial Facilities Management company. The Role

As a Mobile Fabric Engineer, you'll carry out planned and reactive fabric maintenance across a portfolio of commercial buildings. You'll be responsible for ensuring sites remain safe, compliant and maintained to a high standard while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs.
  • Complete carpentry, plumbing, decorating and general building maintenance tasks.
  • Repair doors, locks, ceilings, flooring, walls and windows.
  • Undertake basic plumbing repairs, including taps, toilets and pipework.
  • Carry out patch plastering, tiling and painting where required.
  • Complete minor roofing and external building repairs.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company standards.
  • Accurately complete job sheets and maintenance reports using handheld devices.
  • Build positive relationships with clients and site representatives.

About You

  • Previous experience as a Fabric Engineer, Building Maintenance Engineer, Handyperson or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative.
  • Strong all-round building fabric maintenance skills.
  • Experience working within commercial Facilities Management is desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, decorating and general maintenance.
  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage your own workload.
