The Role As a Kitchen Fitter, you will be responsible for completing full kitchen replacements and associated refurbishment works within domestic properties. You will use a combination of your carpentry, plumbing, tiling, plastering and decorating skills to deliver kitchens to a high standard, from initial strip-out through to final completion. The role will involve working in both occupied and void properties , so you must be comfortable working respectfully in residents' homes, communicating professionally with tenants and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Key Responsibilities Complete full kitchen replacements and refurbishments within domestic properties Carry out kitchen strip-outs and prepare properties for new installations Install kitchen units, wall units, base units and worktops Fit sinks, taps and associated plumbing Complete first and second fix plumbing where required Carry out carpentry and joinery works associated with kitchen installations Install doors, trims, skirting boards, architraves and other finishing items Complete tiling, splashbacks and wall panels Carry out minor plastering and making-good works Complete basic decorating and finishing works Measure and prepare work areas accurately Identify and rectify defects and complete snagging works Work from specifications, drawings and job instructions Liaise professionally with residents and customers when working in occupied homes Keep work areas clean, tidy and safe throughout the project Complete work to agreed quality, health & safety and productivity standards Safely use tools, equipment and materials Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales About You We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Fitter, Kitchen Installer, Carpenter Multi or Multi Skilled Operative who can confidently complete kitchen replacement works from start to finish. You should have: Previous experience fitting kitchens within domestic properties Strong carpentry and joinery skills Good knowledge of plumbing associated with kitchen installations Experience with tiling, plastering and making-good works Multi-trade / maintenance experience Experience working within occupied properties is highly desirable Social housing or planned maintenance experience would be advantageous A strong understanding of health & safety Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship Good communication and customer service skills A reliable and professional approach to work The ability to work independently and manage your own workload A full clean UK driving licence Social Housing Experience Experience within social housing, housing associations, planned maintenance, refurbishment, voids or domestic property maintenance would be highly beneficial. You will be working in residents' homes, so the successful candidate must understand the importance of being respectful, professional and considerate , while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
