Supporting operational managers and supervisors to ensure safe working practices are maintained. Monitoring contractor compliance and carrying out site inspections on repair, maintenance and capital works projects. Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses, ensuring appropriate reporting and corrective actions. Delivering health and safety awareness training, toolbox talks and safety briefings. Promoting a positive health and safety culture and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the Directorate. What you'll need to succeed Applicants should be able to demonstrate:Essential Criteria NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety. Membership of IOSH (or actively working towards membership). Experience in a health and safety role within property, housing, construction, maintenance or asset management environments. Knowledge of building safety and property compliance requirements. Experience carrying out risk assessments, health and safety inspections and audits. Ability to work collaboratively with operational, technical and management teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload. Full current driving licence and access to suitable transport.
