This is a great opportunity to join a growing civil engineering contractor delivering local infrastructure schemes across Yorkshire. The company is expanding its capability across highways and public realm works, so this role offers the chance to play a key part in shaping and delivering a developing area of the business. You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of local civils projects, working closely with site teams, engineers, subcontractors, clients and local authorities. The Role: Manage day-to-day delivery of highways, public realm and local civils schemes Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, programme, health and safety, QA and handover Liaise with clients, local authorities, engineers and internal project teams Oversee RAMS, temporary works, ITPs, site records and quality documentation Support delivery of projects across Yorkshire The Person: Site Agent or experienced Site Manager with autonomous delivery experience Background in highways, public realm, junction improvements, cycleways or local civils Strong understanding of site delivery, subcontractor management, QA, ITPs and health and safety SMSTS, First Aid, SEATS, TWC, Appointed Person or similar tickets would be beneficial, with training available where required Water, drainage or utilities experience would be advantageous Based within reach of Yorkshire sites and happy to travel as required Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd acts an employment agency for permanent roles and an employment business for temporary roles. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme deadlines while coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders on site. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily site operations, logistics, and subcontractor coordination Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations, RAMS, and MOD/RAF site protocols Monitor project progress, programme milestones, and site performance Maintain high standards of quality control, snagging, and project handover documentation Liaise effectively with clients, RAF representatives, subcontractors, and internal teams Manage permits to work, security procedures, and environmental controls on site Ensure works are completed safely, on schedule, and to specification Essential Requirements Valid SMSTS certification Valid First Aid at Work certificate Valid CSCS Card Proven experience as a Site Manager within construction, fit-out, or civils projects Previous MOD, RAF, or high-security site experience is advantageous Strong understanding of CDM regulations, Health & Safety legislation, and quality standards Security Clearance Due to the nature of the project and location, security clearance is required.
