Architectural Technician

Conrad Consulting are delighted to be working with an established architectural practice, seeking an Architectural Technician with approximately 3 6 years of industry experience to join its growing team in Dudley, West Midlands.

Working across a diverse portfolio of projects, you will have the opportunity to contribute to retail, commercial, industrial and residential developments, with a strong emphasis on retail sector work for a range of national and regional clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically focused individual looking to develop their career within a collaborative and supportive environment, working on projects from feasibility and planning through to construction and delivery.

You will be involved in all stages of project delivery and will be responsible for producing high-quality technical information, coordinating with consultants and supporting the successful delivery of projects across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

• Producing planning, building regulations and construction drawing packages
• Preparing technical details and specifications
• Assisting with site surveys and feasibility studies
• Coordinating information with external consultants and project teams
• Supporting project delivery through all RIBA work stages
• Ensuring projects comply with current UK Building Regulations and industry standards
• Attending project and client meetings where required

The successful Architectural Technician will have:

• Approximately 3 6 years' experience within an architectural practice
• Strong technical and detailing abilities
• Experience producing construction and technical drawing packages
• Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning processes
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential)
• Revit experience would be advantageous
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
