Quantity Surveyor

About the company:

We are working with a market leading contractor who specialise in cut and carve, refurbishment, new build and prime fit out sectors. The company has been around 20 years with a turnover of 150m+. Typical projects range from 3m- 30m with the largest projects reaching 80m.

About the role:

The company is seeking a quantity surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will initially be responsible reporting into a senior as a number 2 on a 40m fit put and refurbishment project, with the plan to move onto and run their own job afterwards.

Responsibilities:

• Assist and take full responsibilities of some financial procedures
• Appoint and manage subcontractors and provide feedback on completion of works
• Attend and if necessary, chair meetings with design teams and subcontractors
• Prepare monthly CVRs and create regular budget and price updates
• Internally reporting into management, keeping them fully informed of issues and potential risks to the business

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Proven experience of fit out, new build or refurbishment works
• Previous experience of successfully working on commercial projects and its delivery within time and budget constraints to a high quality
• CSCS card holder
