Working Foreman (Carpentry Bias) The Company Our client is a well-established main contractor specialising in the delivery of high-end residential refurbishment and bespoke fit-out projects across Prime Central London. Their portfolio includes luxury houses, listed buildings, apartments, and complex refurbishment schemes valued from 500k to 2m+.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Carpentry-Based Working Foreman to join the team and oversee the delivery of prestigious residential projects.
The Role Reporting to the Site Manager/Project Manager, the Working Foreman will play a key role in managing site operations while maintaining a hands-on approach where required. The successful candidate will come from a strong carpentry background and possess extensive experience delivering high-specification residential refurbishment projects.
You will be responsible for coordinating trades, maintaining quality standards, ensuring health and safety compliance, and driving programmes to achieve successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Coordination of carpentry and finishing trades throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct quality inspections and manage snagging processes.
- Liaise with Site Managers, Project Managers, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Assist with material scheduling, deliveries, and logistics.
Candidate Requirements- Proven experience as a Working Foreman, Finishing Foreman, or Site Foreman.
- Trade-qualified carpenter with a strong carpentry/joinery background.
- Strong understanding of luxury finishes and bespoke joinery installations.
- Experience working within occupied properties and client-facing environments.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- SSSTS or SMSTS preferred.
